At the age of 17 he was on his own as a D1 Athlete at the University of Pittsburgh, when a back injury halted his college sports dreams.

Joey Foley lived out of a suitcase for a few years, traveling through Europe & eventually landed in NYC where he applied to be an intern at a law firm which unexpectedly led him to the world of real estate.

In 2008 he was one of the top real estate brokers in NYC making a cool $125M in sales which paid for his NYU Education in Economics and oh by the way he graduated top 3 in his class. NBD he was just your typical 23 year old.

From investment banking to hedge fund manager to BIG IPOs to his own consulting firm, he was living the american dream. The girlfriend, the apartment, the money. But he was not happy.

Triathlons, Asia, and a soulcycle class revealed a new path as a fitness entrepreneur and Joey walked away from everything he had built to pursue Fitness.

Soulcycle told him he was not very soulful. Flywheel & Peloton said he was not a good fit and in this moment his source of motivation was born and the quintessential Joey Foley fighting spirit flourished.

In 2018 he opened his own studio, and like the stock market, life for Joey has been mostly up but with a lot of crashes.

Pedal House, offers a unique fitness experience that goes beyond just a high-energy workout. Their rhythm-based cycling classes combine the principles of kinesiology with the transformative practice of active meditation, providing clients with a holistic approach to achieving their fitness goals and finding inner balance.

Joey is now embarking on a new endeavor - advocating and supporting fitness studios with PowerPass, a new class booking platform which promises to disrupt the current third party platform ecosystem.

Pure exhaustion is his love language. Pivoting is his super power. A hustler, a grinder, a father, a husband, a risk taker, and you will either love or hate him, but he will never quit on you.  It is an honor to welcome Joey Foley Co-Founder & Co-Owner of Pedal House to the Creating The 4% Podcast this week!
